Making Kiamichi

Many times great products begin with great friendships. That is certainly the story here. Kings of Leon had met and become friends with Drew Kulsveen, Master Distiller of Willett, years ago when they kept bumping into each other while frequenting the same Nashville whiskey bars. Casual conversations and ideas flowed over the years but hung there in the air until the time was right. That time is now.

Heading into Kings Of Leon’s 20th anniversary, the Kiamichi story begins with a super rare 19-year-old Bourbon celebrating the approaching milestone. Hand-selected barrels of rye whiskey were then blended to bring both an 8-year-old and a 5-year-old offering to the party. These whiskeys represent some of the band’s favorite styles that Willett has made over the years.

More limited releases of Kiamichi are in the works, as there will always be a need for a whiskey that is made to celebrate family. A new tradition to flow through the generations and commemorate the moments that carve a path through our lives and shape us.
